Tazeniq

Careers

Build useful technology with Tazeniq Labs.

We start with real Nigerian problems and build technology to answer them. The Tazeniq Labs team is where research, hardware, software, design and manufacturing come together — and we are hiring across the core roles that make that loop real.

Open roles

Core positions on the Labs team.

These are the primary roles we are building the Tazeniq Labs team around. If a role fits your capability but you do not meet every listed requirement, we still encourage you to reach out.

Embedded Systems Engineer

Full-time

Tazeniq Labs — Hardware · Kaduna, Nigeria (hybrid)

Design and prototype the firmware and embedded electronics at the heart of Tazeniq-designed products, from smart home devices to connected electronics.

What you will do

  • Prototype firmware on microcontrollers (ARM Cortex-M, ESP32) for connected devices.
  • Bring up new hardware boards and validate sensors, power and radio behaviour.
  • Work with product and field-testing teams to harden designs for Nigerian conditions.

What we look for

  • Strong C and bare-metal/embedded firmware experience.
  • Comfort reading schematics and debugging with oscilloscopes/logic analysers.
  • Experience with RTOS, low-power design or wireless stacks (BLE/Wi-Fi) is a plus.

Hardware Product Engineer

Full-time

Tazeniq Labs — Hardware · Kaduna, Nigeria (hybrid)

Turn product briefs into working hardware — owning board layout, component selection and engineering validation from prototype toward manufacturing.

What you will do

  • Specify, design and review PCB layouts for new product prototypes.
  • Select components balancing cost, availability and local field reliability.
  • Lead engineering validation, EMC pre-compliance and reliability testing.

What we look for

  • Experience bringing at least one hardware product from prototype to pilot build.
  • Familiarity with power electronics, battery systems or consumer electronics.
  • Disciplined documentation and design-review practice.

Product Research Analyst

Full-time

Tazeniq Labs — Research · Kaduna, Nigeria

Ground every Labs decision in evidence — translating customer problems and market observation into clear product briefs the engineering team can build against.

What you will do

  • Run customer problem research, interviews and field observation in Nigerian markets.
  • Analyse retail, support and product data to surface real unmet needs.
  • Convert findings into prioritised product briefs and requirements.

What we look for

  • Background in product, UX or market research with a strong analytical edge.
  • Comfort conducting primary research in real market settings.
  • Clear, structured written communication.

Field Testing & Quality Engineer

Full-time

Tazeniq Labs — Testing · Field-based, Nigeria

Prove that prototypes survive the real world — designing and running field tests that measure performance, reliability and customer experience in Nigerian conditions.

What you will do

  • Design test plans covering power, heat, dust, network and daily-use scenarios.
  • Run field pilots, collect structured feedback and report failures clearly.
  • Drive fixes back into engineering with prioritised, evidence-based findings.

What we look for

  • Experience in hardware QA, field testing or reliability engineering.
  • Methodical, data-driven and comfortable working outside the lab.
  • Ability to communicate trade-offs to engineers and product teams.

Industrial / Product Designer

Full-time

Tazeniq Labs — Design · Kaduna, Nigeria (hybrid)

Shape how Tazeniq-designed products look, feel and function — from concept sketches to production-ready design that is practical to manufacture and durable in local use.

What you will do

  • Translate product briefs into industrial design concepts and prototypes.
  • Own CAD, materials selection and design-for-manufacturing with production partners.
  • Collaborate with engineering on form, fit, thermal and assembly constraints.

What we look for

  • Portfolio of physical product design from concept to production.
  • Strong CAD and design-for-manufacturing fundamentals.
  • Sensitivity to local aesthetics, materials and real-world durability.

Manufacturing & Supply Lead

Full-time

Tazeniq Labs — Operations · Kaduna, Nigeria

Bridge Tazeniq design and global production — managing manufacturing partners, quality expectations and the supply chain that brings prototypes to market.

What you will do

  • Manage relationships with manufacturing partners and oversee production runs.
  • Set quality acceptance criteria and run outgoing quality control.
  • Coordinate components, lead times and logistics for pilot and production builds.

What we look for

  • Experience sourcing or managing electronics manufacturing, ideally in Asia or locally.
  • Solid grasp of QC, BOM management and production scheduling.
  • Clear communication across time zones and cultures.

Software Engineer, Connected Devices

Full-time

Tazeniq Labs — Software · Remote (Nigeria)

Build the apps, cloud services and device integrations that make Tazeniq products usable — pairing with embedded engineers to ship connected experiences.

What you will do

  • Design and build mobile apps and cloud services that pair with Tazeniq hardware.
  • Implement device provisioning, telemetry and over-the-air updates.
  • Own performance, security and reliability of the connected experience.

What we look for

  • Experience shipping mobile apps and backend services end-to-end.
  • Comfort with device protocols (MQTT, BLE) and cloud platforms.
  • Security-first thinking for consumer-connected products.

How we work

Problem first. Technology second.

Every role at Tazeniq Labs sits inside a continuous loop connecting market evidence, engineering, manufacturing and customer feedback — not a one-off product launch.
